Isaiah 50:8 Come, Let’s Reason Together / Deuteronomy 11:18-21 Passion!

God is a God of now. He doesn’t care what you’ve done in the past, all He wants is for you to go to Him and reason together with Him, to work together and walk together. Even if your sins are as scarlet, You’ll be washed white as snow!

Thanks for watching, God Bless you all and feel free to share this video with any you believe will be ministered by it!

Deuteronomy 11:18-21 “Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.”

As I was reading this in the Word of God yesterday, God brought me here and my heart broke as I realized that this section of the Word of God is unheard of in today’s world! I have to confess even my own life lacks in this area.

Growing up, something that God had put in my heart was just how important it is to be in the Word of God every single day, as much throughout the day as possible! We cannot expect to walk in the Spirit, if we starve our own spirit of the proper food it needs to be strong. Remember that the Word of God IS food that we should truly consume each and every day. The Word of God trumps physical food when it comes to this even, as we know from Luke 4:4, “…man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” We also know that the way we gain faith is from hearing the Word of God, as Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” If we don’t spend time in the Word of God, we will never increase in faith! We will never be spiritually able to withstand against the temptations, trials, troubles, and attacks that come against us from the world, the enemy, and even our own fleshly desires. Let’s be reminded of what 1 John 5:4 says of our faith rooted in the Lord: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” Our faith is what allows us to be overcomers. But we will never overcome without faith. And we will never increase in faith unless we spend time in the Word of God. Our spirit will become malnourished as it is never fed the Bread of Life, the Word of God. And when our spirit is weak and malnourished . . . can we expect it to ever be able to lift up the Sword of the Spirit and swing mightily in the battlefield when the enemy attacks? Not at all, a malnourished spirit is easy picking for the enemy that “…as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” (1 Peter 5:8)

The verses above though remind us about SPEAKING the Word of God. We are reminded of how we need to honestly be OBSESSED with the Word of God even. There have been a lot of people who have complained to me about how I talk too much about God. I talk too much “religious talk” in their eyes. My thoughts? I don’t talk enough about the things of God! I will set a goal to talk about the things of God constantly throughout the day, just as the Lord tells us in the verses above!

A dear friend of mine loves fishing. If he could live on the water and fish day in and day out for the rest of his life, he would be so happy! Whenever he meets another person, many times his first question to them is, “So, have you done any fishing?” He asks friends and even complete strangers that very question every single chance he gets. Then he will begin holding a conversation about fishing that could last for hours on end with him getting very excited and wanting to jump in a boat right away! He truly has a passion for fishing! And he wants to talk about it, do it, and bring anyone and everyone in on it! That is excellent passion!

That, is the same passion WE as children of God need to have toward the things of God! We should eagerly be talking about the things of God every single chance we get! Our children should hear us talking and praising and blessing God throughout the day in every hour of the day! Unfortunately, children are growing up in Christian homes where talking about the Lord and His Word is perhaps left mostly to Sundays, the occasional Wednesday night Bible study, and maybe in prayer before each meal…if they ever sit to eat a meal together. Due to that…we lose our children because they grow up to believe Christianity is merely some sort of hobby and not something that is supposed to infuse every fiber of our being. Did you know that apparently the average man speaks 7,000 to 10,000 words a day? The average woman speaks roughly 20,000 to 24,000 words a day. Now take that into consideration that, if those words spoke the Word of God, we could VERY easily speak out loud the Word of God over 3 times within a year!? That is taking the lowest number of 7,000 words a day! Many claiming to be Christians have trouble reading a single book in the Word, within a year’s time. I see many, many wasted words that should be better spent speaking the Word of God (taking heed of the warning of how we will be judged by our words, as Jesus says in Matthew 12:36-37).

The biggest problem however, is that we need to become passionate about the Lord! Just as my friend is so passionate about fishing that he talks to every single soul he crosses about it, WE Christians need to be even MORE passionate about the things of God that we cannot HELP but talk about it. We need to burn in our hearts, with a fire for the Lord. If we remain quiet about the things of God for half a day we need to feel like we’re going to burst unless we talk about Him!

I pray that God gives us such passion! Afterall, that is the type of passionate pursuit of Him that He searches for in a relationship between He and us!

I love you all so much and continue to pray for you all every day. May God Bless you continually, and I pray we increase in passion for the Lord! These written studies are no longer being done by taking the scriptures from the notebook as they used to be done. Those have been moved to daily Video Bible studies. However, as I read the Word and the Lord stirs a particular passage or topic in my spirit, we will look at it in these written studies as well. God willing, they will be done often! Until next time, you have an amazingly excellent and blessed day today!

Love always in Christ,
Your brother,
And friend,
Michael
