1 Timothy 1:17 Praise Ye the Lord!

1 Timothy 1:17 “Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

Let all creation praise the Lord! Today’s verse, is one of Praise to our Lord and Saviour, God. He is the King of All kings, high and lifted up above all else! We serve an awesome God, don’t we? Yesterday we were reminded of how our Lord God Redeemer, came into this world to forgive and wash away our sins. We were reminded that there is forgiveness for everything wicked we have done, with no respect of persons. No matter who we are, no matter what we’ve done (again, neglecting the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit), we have forgiveness. God is very patient and longsuffering with us, to keep up with us, to forgive and strengthen and guide us each day. And today, we aren’t really shown something in the Word of God, which is to learn or of exhortation or command, but rather a reminder: Let us Praise the Lord our God!

Let’s be reminded, our Lord is King, Revelation 17:14 “. . .For he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.” He is eternal, everlasting and never changes, Psalm 29:10 “The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever.” Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I change not;. . .” He is immortal, everlasting, as all invisible and unseen things, taking faith to please and to be known, are, Colossians 1:15 “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:” 2 Corinthians 4:18 “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” He is the only source of Wisdom, far beyond the worlds foolish wisdom, He is indeed the Only Wise God, Colossians 2:3 “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Amen! Let us praise Him, for evermore!

Let’s be reminded of how greatly blessed and privileged we are, to have the opportunity to praise our God. No other false “god” has established such a true relationship, as our True God, God of all gods, has done with us. He has allowed us to, through Christ Jesus, come to His Throne, and worship Him! We worship Him in spirit and in Truth (John 4:24). This means we do not worship Him by only our physical bodies in dancing and singing and wearing certain things. These thing are rather a testimony and representation, for the rest of the world to see that we are His Children, and we love Him. But God sees our spirit, He wants us to worship from the inside out, not the outside in. And because outside of Christ, outside of Salvation, we are sinners and unable to come before His presence, we must worship Him clothed in Truth, as well. Christ Jesus is the Truth (John 14:6), the Word of God, is Truth (John 17:17) Let us worship our Lord in spirit and in Truth, not the way the world worships its own “gods” in idolatry and temporary, fleshly pleasure which kills.

We are so greatly blessed to be able to Praise Him! Praise, should be a part of our daily lives. I’ve learned personally, that when going without Praising God and thanking Him, even One Day, I seem to get down and seem to lose sight of Him, and start focusing my eyes on the problems, on the fickle and temporary things of this world. And we learn from His Word, that praising Him, helps us to be lifted up by His Hands, and any heaviness is defeated in the light of Praise! Isaiah 61:3 “To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.” To praise God, not only brings glory to the One most deserving of all the Glory and Honour and Power, and Praise, but it brings us closer to Him, our Lord, God, Redeemer, Father, and Friend! Let us put on the garment of Praise, for the spirit of heaviness, the oil of joy for mourning! Let us Praise the Lord continually! Let every thing that has breath, praise the Lord!

I love you, and do bring prayer before the Lord our God, for you. I pray that you have a wonderful day today, and a glorious day tomorrow in remembrance of the fact that our Lord is not Dead, He is Risen for evermore! Let’s spend today praising God. Let’s give Him all the Praise and Glory and Honour! Let us stay kneeling before the Throne of God, worshipping and Praising Him. It helps us, as well as Glorifies Him. Praise the Lord our God! I pray that He blesses you greatly, according to His riches in Glory!

Love in Christ, Always,
Your friend forever,
And brother,

Psalm 29:2 “Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.”
